Crimestoppers Issue Appeal On Limerick Murder

Crimestoppers has issued an appeal for information on a murder in Limerick 20 years ago.

A well known Limerick farmer, John Cusack, was found dead outside his back door on his farm in Murroe on Monday 25th September 1995.

John Cusack was a 56 year old separated father of seven who was well known in the farming community in Co Limerick and across the country.

He was found lying face down on the ground by the back door of his house on Monday September 25th 1995. He'd been shot once in the back and once in the head.

He was last seen by his daughter, when he dropped her off at her flat in Limerick on Saturday 23rd September at 8.30 p.m..

Gardai and Crimestoppers are appealing for any information on the killing,  and they'd like to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the run up to, or between Saturday 23rd September and Monday 25th September 1995 in the area. This was the weekend of the All-Ireland football final between Dublin and Tyrone. 

They are also in hearing from anyone who may have tried to contact John Cusack that weekend.
