A man in his late teens has been arrested following the seizure of two thousand euro in suspected counterfeit notes in Clare.
As part of an ongoing investigation, Gardaí carried out searches at two houses in Ennis and Ennistymon this morning.
During the course of the search in Ennis, Gardaí seized 100 counterfeit €20 notes.

A man in his late teens was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Ennis Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act. He can be held for up to 24 hours.
