Nine Incidents Of Domestic Violence Reported To Gardaí In Clare In A Week

Gardaí in Clare are urging anyone experiencing domestic violence to report it to them.

It comes as nine incidents have been reported in this county in the past week.

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer says, however, that there’s growing concern that victims of crime generally, or domestic abuse, aren’t contacting Gardaí, on account of the public health emergency.

Sergeant Triona Brooks says that because of the restructuring of An Garda Síochána, there are now more members than ever on the streets and in the community, and that they’re ready to assist and protect anyone who needs them.
