It’s been confirmed that Ennis will be the location for the new divisional Garda headquarters for Clare and Tipperary.
The Regional and Divisional Headquarters for the entire country under An Garda Síochána’s new Operating Model have been revealed in full this afternoon.
There had been concern expressed in this county that the Garda base would be located in Tipperary, despite Clare having an international airport and some high-profile state visits this year.

Clare now forms part of the Southern Region, while this county will merge with Tipperary as one division from January.
