Man Arrested In Connection With Ennis Shop Robbery Released Without Charge

A man arrested in connection with a robbery at an Ennis business has been released without charge.

In the early hours of last Monday morning, a man entered the Centra Store on the Gort Road wearing a white hazmat suit with a hood, a blue face mask and orange gloves and carrying what’s been described as “an implement”.

He made his escape on foot with the contents of the till, in the direction of the Gort Road/Watery Road area.

A search was carried out in a house in Ennis on Saturday, and a man in his late 20’s was arrested.

He was detained at Shannon Garda Station but has since been released without charge, with a file is being prepared for the DPP.
