Gardaí have recovered a number of cannabis plants during an operation at a house in Clarecastle.
They were called to assist members of the HSE at an incident in the area this afternoon, when the discovery was made.
A man was taken into custody at the house and transferred to hospital, where he is in the care of medical staff.
