An analysis of station-by-station data, first published by The Times Ireland Edition, has found that Ennis, Kilrush, Shannon and Corofin stations all gained additional personnel between December 2014 and last month.

Kilmihil also saw an increase in Garda numbers, but this resulted from the re-opening of the station there, a move was in tandem with the closure of Lissycasey Garda Station.

In the same timeframe, there was a reduction of Garda numbers in Ennistymon, Kildysart, Kilaloe, Miltown Malbay and Newmarket on Fergus.

There was no change ni Ballyvaughan, Crusheen, Kilkee, Lisdoonvarna, Scariff, Sixmilebridge and Tulla.

24 additional GardaĆ have been stationed in Clare since the end of 2014, with 20 of that increase coming at the Divisional headquarters in Ennis.
