30 crew on board a Dutch tall ship which ran aground on rocks off the Cork coast been rescued safely from the vessel.

The alarm was raised after the Astrid – a Dutch training vessel ran aground near the Sovereign Islands – to the west of Kinsale harbour – at around midday.
The Shannon and Waterford based Coastguard helicopters were dispatched to scene along with several local lifeboat services and all those on board were successfully rescued.
