Creighton indicates a stimulus deal will be done prior to referendum

The European Affairs Minister has indicated that a stimulus deal for Europe will be agreed before the EU Fiscal Treaty referendum on May 31st.

Speaking on Clare FM today, Minister Lucinda Creighton suggested the outline of a deal will be agreed at a meeting of European leaders next week, eight days before polling date.

The Minister said full details will likely be revealed at a more extensive meeting in June, though she’s warning people not to expect a total solution to the economic crisis.
