Cratloe Farmer Claims Scór Long Service Award

A Clare farmer who first took part in Scór in 1972 has received a long service award for his dedication to the competition.

Scór is a social GAA event, which involves eight disciplines, namely Ceilí Dancing, Solo Singing, Ballad Group, Scéalaíocht, Novelty Act, Instrumental Music, Set Dancing and Table Quiz, more commonly known as Tráth na gCeist.

Cratloe’s Jim Enright has taken part for each of the past 52 years and in addition to serving as quizmaster and Cathoirleach of Scór na Mumhan, he’s also claimed one All-Ireland and four Munster titles throughout his prolific career.

Jim says his personal highlight was winning the All-Ireland in 77.
