Crash Victim Michael Fogarty Remembered As ‘Outgoing’ Man

Crusheen man Michael Fogarty, who died in a car crash on the M18 motorway, is being remembered today as an outgoing man who was a real character.

The 57-year-old died when his van was involved in a collision with a truck at the Tulla exit on the southbound portion of the motorway shortly before lunchtime yesterday.

The driver of the other vehicle was arrested at the scene and taken to Ennis Garda Station but was later released without charge.

The dad-of-three was a well-known figure in Crusheen, having run the local pub as well as having a long involvement with the GAA.
