The Agriculture Minister has insisted the Mid West’s District Veterinary office will remain open, even though some staff of it’s are to be re-deployed.

It had been feared that the Department’s office in Raheen, Limerick would close it’s doors, forcing farmers to travel to Naas for face-to-face meetings with officials.
However, Simon Coveney has today told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that this will not be the case, even though some ‘back office’ staff will be moved to central locations.
The Minister insists levels of service for Clare farmers will be maintained.
