Court to decide on Dundon trial

The Special Criminal Court will decide later this morning if Limerick prisoner John Dundon is fit to go on trial over the fatal shooting of Garryowen rugby player Shane Geoghegan.

The 31 year old  – who is to represent himself at the trial – cut his head having reportedly fainted moments before the case was scheduled to start yesterday.

Having sacked his legal team, John Dundon yesterday agreed to defend himself and denies the murder of Shane Geoghegan  in November 2008.
