A West Clareman's appeal against the result of the same sex marriage referendum will be held in the Court of Appeal today.

Gerry Walshe of Lisdeen Road, Kilkee is one of two people who have brought legal arguments against the outcomes of the referendum, but these were dismissed by the High Court, leading to today's hearing.
The actions have delayed the Government's plans to have the legislation enacted by the autumn.
