A legal action challenging the constitutionality of the establishment of the European Stability Mechanism is due to start in the High Court today.

It’s being brought by Independent Donegal South West TD Thomas Pringle.
The hearing is expected to last between 5 and 7 days and may involve points of law being referred to the European Court of Justice.
