Clare’s county dog warden is warning owners to control their dogs where possible.
It’s after an incident in an area of Shannon last week which saw a Staffordshire bull terrier surrendered.

Frankie Coote is reporting an increase in these type of incidents across the county in recent times.
He says while seizure of a pet is the last resort, there are occasions where he is left with no option but to do so.
