Clare’s County Dog Warden is advising pet owners to walk their pooches early in the day this weekend.
It comes ahead of Halloween, with concerns that illegal fireworks being let off across the county may scare and alarm dogs and other animals.

Frankie Coote says he has already received a high volume of calls from throughout the county about the issue this week.
He says dog collars need to be properly fitted for safety purposes when walking over the next few days.
