It’s claimed a newly approved amendment to Clare’s County Development Plan is a great win for housing here.
The local authority has signed off on a variation to the plan which will see an additional 257 acres of land zoned for housing.

While a further 358 acres of strategic reserve sites will also be unlocked for immediate residential use countywide.
Clonlara Independent Councillor and Planning Consultant Michael Begley is confident the move will have a positive impact.
