Clare County Council’s Ennis offices are to open this Saturday in order to facilitate the payment of the household charge.
The deadline for the payment of the 100 euro tax is now just three days away, and a surge is being reported in the number of people who are registering at the last minute.

Almost 28 thousand people registered to pay the charge online yesterday, the highest daily level of sign up since the website went live in January.
With more people expected to pay the fee in the coming days, the local authority is to open it’s offices at New Road, Ennis from 10:00 until 5:00 this Saturday.
