A murder investigation is underway and a 40 year old man, who’s known to Gardai over a number of previous offences, is being questioned.

President of Mary Immaculate College, Professor Eugene Wall has described Ashling as a talented musician and performer, who’d just begun her teaching career, when her young and promising life was cruelly snatched away from her.

College Chaplin, Fr Mick Wall has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that the entire college community is in shock.
