Ennis Councilors have been told that they will need to cut services in the town if they’re to introduce an incentivised parking scheme.

Calls had been made for free parking to be introduced on Saturdays for a trial basis of six months, in a bid to attract more shoppers into the county town.
However, Ennis Town Council has told it’s elected members that this would cost 90,000 euro, and that it would be up to them to find savings to offset this.
Councillors have agreed to re-examine the matter when drawing up their budget for next year, but Fine Gael representative Johnny Flynn feels that’s a gamble worth taking.
