Clare Councillors have clashed over plans for them to hold private one-on-one meetings with Irish Water.

The state utility had proposed to hold short individual clinics with Councillors next Tuesday, but will now be told that they want to be briefed as a group at a public meeting first.
Irish Water has yet to say if it will agree to the request, but some Councillors from Fianna Fáil and the Technical Group say they won't agree to private talks until their concerns are addressed in public.
