Long standing Clare Fianna Fail Councillors insists there was no corruption or irregularities at County Council level following the findings of the Mahon Tribunal.

As well as making findings against individuals – the report also said that corruption in Irish political life was endemic and systemic and crossed party divides.
Clare Fianna Fail Councillor Richard Nagle has expressed his regret at the findings in the report .
However as a local representative for almost 20 years, he says planning irregularities were not an issue at county council level here
