Councillors from North, East and West Clare have criticised the lack of signage for their respective areas on the M18, saying it’s keeping visitors away from their areas.

The National Roads Authority decides which areas are labelled on motorways, in line with national policy, but local representatives say parts of the county have been ‘cut off’ by their omission.
Calls have been made for a regional office of the NRA to be opened in the Mid West, in order to deal with local concerns.
