Councillors Call For Legal Medical Cannabis

Clare County Councillors are calling on the Health Minister to prioritise the legalisation of medicinal cannabis in Ireland.

At this month’s meeting of the local authority, Fianna Fáil Councillor Clare Colleran Molloy made the request following recent action by Vera Twomey, who walked to the Dáil from Cork to highlight the issue for her sick daughter.

Councillor Colleran Molloy says the time has come to to take action and believes that if politicicans across the country continue to put pressure on the Government, the matter will be put to bed.
