Clare County Councillors have voted in favour of sending a delegation to China in April.
The trip aims to create a link between the county and the Yunnan Province, and follows the visit of the now Chinese Premier to Clare in 2012.

Lissycasey Fianna Fáil Councillor PJ Kelly objected to the proposal, and instead asked for a cost-benefit analysis to be carried out.
The majority of members did give it their backing.
