A South-East Clare Councillor is pushing for a fresh review of the Clare portion of the Limerick Northern Distributor Road project.
It's after local representatives in Limerick were presented with fresh plans for their part of the road at a behind-closed-doors meeting last week – a vote there is expected in May.
Here, the route for the road has been backed by Councillors, despite strong opposition in South-East Clare where it's claimed that the road will have a devastating impact on communities such as Parteen and Clonlara.
Local Fianna Fáil Councillor Cathal Crowe says he now intends to seek support for changes.
