It’s been suggested those in the greatest need are finding themselves unable to get parking at a medical facility in the county town.
The most recent meeting of Ennis’s elected representatives has heard claims that the provision of parking is insufficient at the Primary Care Centre on Station Road, while it’s also been observed that those who aren’t using the service are routinely parking on site.
Ennis Municipal District has confirmed it will meet with the HSE in the New Year to ensure planning permission conditions, which stipulate that staff and service users must have designated parking spaces, are being adhered to.
It’s also understood that the acquisition of nearby lands for additional parking is being looked into, and Clarecastle Fianna Fáil Councillor Tom O’Callaghan says this would be welcome.
