It’s claimed community engagement will be vital in preventing compulsory purchase orders in the course of completing the West Clare Greenway.
The local authority has this week commenced a public consultation process that will run until February 2nd concerning the final two sections of the route from Ennistymon to Moyasta.
Clare County Council has previously indicated its intention to submit a planning application to An Bórd Pleanála for the 87km trail later this year, which when completed will also to Ennis, Kilrush, Kilkee and Miltown Malbay.
