Clare County Council is to hear calls for recycling charges to be suspended.

The motion at this afternoon's monthly meeting is in response to growing concerns over illegal dumping in the county which public representatives say has gone "out of control."
Fianna Fáil's Alan O’Callaghan is putting forward the motion to encourage people to recycle their waste, ahead of compulsory pay by weight charges from July 2016.
