Council Will “Up The Ante” On Tackling Dumping – Dowling

The CEO of Clare County Council says the organisation is embarking on a “significant campaign” to catch those responsible for illegal dumping.

This week has seen further checkpoints by the Council and Gardaí, focussed on the East Clare area where local representatives say dumping has posed a particular problem.

Councillors have hit out at dumpers, and called for offenders to be named and shamed as part of efforts to deter others.
