Clare County Council is being encouraged to put a program in place for sweeping and maintaining cycle lanes and hard shoulders.

The Council's current plans see cycle lanes swept periodically, but it's being told to expand this so as to ensure the safety of cyclists.
The local authority agrees that this would be ideal, but has stressed that there aren't enough resources in place to allow for an 'optimum level of service.'
