Clare businesses seeking a reduction in their rates will found out today if their campaign has been successful.

A number of companies, particularly from the Shannon area, have been pressing Clare County Councillors to back their calls for a reduction in monies owed to the local authority.
Councillors will today decide on their budget for 2013 in a meeting at Aras Chontae an Chlair in Ennis, including the moneys paid by businesses. The level of commercial rates has been left unchanged for each of the last three years.
