Clare County Council says its still battling fresh pipe bursts and leaks as the ground hasn’t fully thawed out in some areas.
Night-time restrictions on water usage will continue over the Bank Holiday weekend and into next week as the local authority says demand still exceeds the supply capacity.
Between 800 and 900 householders are still without water or have a limited supply but the council says the situation is improving and a near normal service is likely to be restored by Tuesday or Wednesday.
