Clare County Council had been expected to make a decision on Aldi's application by this week, but is now requesting further information from the retailer.
Aldi has applied to construct a large supermarket on the site, including car parking facilities, but their application has been the subject of objections by a number of local groups including the Save Ennistymon Mart Committee.
