Clare County Council's Senior Environmental Engineer says the maintainence of the county's bathing areas is hugely important for the Local Authority.

In comeas as water tests at Ballyalla Lake, Ballycuggeran, Bishopsquarter, Cappagh Pier, Fanore, Kilkee, Lahinch, Mountshannon, Seafield, White Strand – Doonbeg and White Strand – Miltown Malbay all returned excellent results for a second year.
The latest report from the Environmental Protection Agency shows just six of the country's 137 bathing spots are of a poor level.
