Clare County Council has turned down a planning application for a new funeral home in Ennis.

PJ Murphy, who already operates an undertakers' service in Kilmaley, had sought permission to convert a former car garage on the Kilrush Road into a new funeral home.
However, the local authority has turned down his application saying the site in question does not have the proper zoning, and that there would be traffic issues at the location.
PJ says he's disappointed with the decision, but he remains determined to press ahead with the project.
