Council Outlines Shared Streets Vision For Ennis Town Centre

A Director of Services for Clare County Council has said Ennis’ Public Realm Regeneration Project will prioritise pedestrians over cars.

The local authority has been allocated more than 4 million euro for the works under the Government’s Urban Regeneration and Development Fund.

The funding will see a regeneration of the O’Connell Street, and also the creation of new plazas based in the O’Connell Square and Barrack Square areas.
