Council look for expert guidance on developing Holy Island tourism

Clare County Council is looking for experts to outline how they would improve access to Holy Island and provide tourism facilities there.

Earlier this month, the Local Authority acquired 41 acres on the island in the hope of developing it as a key tourism attraction in East Clare.

The Council stressed that this would only happen in a way that respected the island's history, and it has now issued a tender so that expert groups can outline how this would occur.
