Clare County Council has lifted its prohibition order on swimming at White Strand Miltown Malbay.
The order had been in place for over a week, but has now been lifted following HSE advice.
E.coli bacteria had been present in the bathing water following rainfall in the area and had been the subject of ongoing analysis.

The local authority is advising that the safest place to swim is at lifeguarded locations.
