Clare's Fire and Rescue Personnel are monitoring roads in the county this lunchtime as further heavy rainfall is forecast for this afternoon and evening.

A mid-level Orange rainfall alert is in place for Clare until 3am tomorrow morning as well as in Limerick, Kerry, Cork, Tipperary and Connaught.
Clare County Council is reminding motorists to slow down and drive with care and to allow additional time for journeys.
