Clare County Council will increase its spending on housing and roads by over €5 million euro next year.
The plan is contained in the Council’s 2020 Budget, which was adopted unanimously by local representatives at a special meeting on Friday.

The Budget contains no increase in commercial rates, but part of its growth is funded by the already-agreed increase in local property taxes.
However, Clare County Council CEO Pat Dowling is confident that people will see a return on this increased tax.
