The Chair of Clare County Council’s Housing Committee says a greater focus on affordable housing is needed locally in 2023.
The Department of Housing and the local authority’s understood to be working on two such schemes for this county coming into the new year.

Minister Darragh O’ Brien has pledged funding if a project is earmarked, with the urban centres of Ennis and Shannon likely to be those in line for the works.
Shannon-based Independent Councillor Gerry Flynn believes more can be done locally, and Government targets need to be expanded.
