Council Honour Sporting Stars

Clare County Council has bestowed their highest possible honour on 3 Clare men for their sporting endeavours.

Ireland Rugby internationals Marcus Horan and Anthony Foley were given a Civic reception in Aras Chontae an Chláir last night while Cathal Murphy’s silver medal at this year’s Special Olympics World Winter Games earned him the same award.

Horan played in the recent Heineken Cup Semi-final defeat to Leinster while Munster legend Foley is part of the coaching staff.
