The figures were revealed by Clare County Council following questions over the homeless situation in the county and reveal that 13 people currently reside in an Ennis hostel while 14 families ranging in size from 1 member to 8 are in temporary accommodation.
Kilmaley Fianna Fáil Councillor Tom McNamara has said the situation is unacceptable, and that it caused by inadequate levels of rent supplement and rising house prices.
