Council Examining New Dog Foul Bye-Law

Clare dog owners could soon be asked for proof that they're prepared to scoop, in the event that their pooches poop!

The Council has been asked to implement a bye law whereby members of the public, who are out walking their dogs, can be asked by an authorised person to provide evidence that they are prepared to pick up any of their animal's foul.

A bye law to this effect has been in place in Limerick, and the Council in Clare is now reviewing this before presenting a proposal to elected representatives.
