Clare residents who engage in illegal dumping have been warned that a county-wide crackdown against the practice is underway.

Clare County Council last week secured three separate prosecutions in East and West Clare in relation to the illegal disposal of waste, with those convicted receiving fines and penalties averaging over 2,000 euro.
The town councils of Ennis and Kilrush have also stepped up their efforts to find those responsible.
