Council Considering Using Vacant Sites For Parking

It’s understood that Clare County Council is to examine the possibility of using a number of currently vacant sites around the town of Ennis in order to find room for more parking.

The Council is seeking to make 550 new spaces available on a public-private partnership basis over the next five years.

This has been among a suite of measures announced this week, which will also 100 new on-street spaces in the next two years and a reduction of the unit parking charge to €1.
