The CEO of Clare County Council says it’s both and honour and humbling to be named Local Authority of the Year.
The Council received the accolade at the Chambers Ireland Excellence Awards last night, which was held at the Crowne Plaza in Santry.
Clare County Council was honoured for its commitment to serving the community and also raising the area’s profile nationally as a stand-out destination.
It also received the ‘Festival of the Year’ and ‘Sustaining The Arts’ awards.
CEO Pat Dowling has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that it is made all the more special by virtue of the fact they’re being awarded by businesses.
