Caitríona Lucas Remembered On First Anniversary Of Her Death

Caitriona Lucas is being honoured today, the first anniversary of her death.

It’s one year since the Doolin Coast Guard volunteer lost her life in an incident off Kilkee, where she had been taking part in a search.

This evening, from 5:30, a memorial service will be held at the cliff walk in Kilkee while this Saturday a plaque in her honour will be unveiled at the Doolin Coast Guard station.

Search and Rescue Operations Manager with the Irish coast Guard Service Declan Geoghan says it’s been a difficult year for her family, friends and colleagues.
